Full-time Lecturer and Research Supervisor (MAPS COLLEGE)

Post: Full-time Lecturer & Research Supervisor We are seeking a qualified and experienced Lecturer and Research Supervisor to deliver research-related teaching and provide academic supervision to students undertaking bachelor's and master's degree programmes. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of academic research methods, experience in higher education teaching and dissertation supervision, and the ability to support students across a range of business-related disciplines. Key Responsibilities: Teaching and Lecturing: Deliver lectures primarily in research methods and related subject areas, with the flexibility to teach other business-related subjects. Research Supervision: Guide and supervise bachelor's and master's degree students throughout their research projects and dissertations, from proposal development to final submission. Research Support: Provide academic guidance on qualitative and quantitative research methods, research design, data collection, analysis and academic writing. Academic Development: Support students in developing research skills, critical thinking and the ability to conduct independent academic research. Qualifications & Experience: - Minimum qualification of a master’s degree in a relevant discipline. - Prior experience of student dissertation supervision. - Sound knowledge of qualitative and quantitative research methodologies. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; knowledge of statistical and qualitative data analysis tools would be an advantage. - Strong command of written & spoken Dhivehi and English. - Excellent communication & interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team. - Prior experience in higher education teaching and academic research will be an added advantage.
