Quantity Surveyor
Salary Range
17000 - 20000
Responsibilities
Prepare cost estimates, bills of quantities (BOQ), and tender documents for construction projects.
Conduct feasibility studies to estimate materials, time, and labour costs.
Evaluate and compare quotations from subcontractors and suppliers.
Monitor and control project costs throughout construction phases to ensure budgets are maintained.
Prepare progress reports, valuation of variations, and interim payment applications.
Conduct site visits to assess progress and verify quantities on-site.
Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, and contractual obligations.
Identify potential cost-saving opportunities and recommend value engineering solutions.
Prepare final accounts and assist in project close-out documentation.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 3–5 years of experience in construction cost estimation and project cost control.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Excel, and quantity surveying software (e.g., CostX, Cubit, or similar).
Strong understanding of construction contracts (FIDIC or equivalent).
Excellent analytical, numerical, and negotiation skills.
Attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Experience with commercial, resort, or infrastructure projects.
